AKU KATA TAK NAK, TAK NAK LAA!

I memang lah tak merokok, I kan perempuan Melayu terakhir. (OH!, sangat perasan la you!) Betul apa, "SMOKING DOESN'T MAKE YOU MACHO".

Bersyukur sangat bila Mr. Fruitheart berhenti merokok dua tahun lepas. Sangat berbangga dengan dia. Dan, berbangga juga bila ayah tercinta yang memang perokok tegar berhenti merokok tahun lepas. Ikut menantu ke ayah? Hik hik.

Happy Birthday Adzreza Syahmie!

Last Friday on 27th May 2011 my beloved son, Adzreza Syahmie turned 7. He's a big grown boy.

♫ Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to Syahmie, happy birthday to you. ♫

We had a little celebration at my parents new house. This time around, he didn't want any action figure cakes like last year - Ben 10 and Transformers. He wanted Baskin Robbins ice cream cake! Demand huh? Once a year only, that's what I told Mr. Fruitheart.

We went to Alamanda just to buy the cakes. The nearest Baskin Robbins outlet we can find.
Waiting for the cake

And the best part is? I got my ice cream birthday cake from Baskin Robbins too!

Cutting the vanilla ice cream cake, that's for kiddo. Mine is Jamoca Almond Fudge. Yummy!

P/S: Sorry, I was really busy that I could not snap good pictures.

Mama dan Daddy Kahwin Lagi

Entri dalam Bahasa Melayu.
Perkahwinan dari sudut pandangan kanak-kanak berumur 7 tahun. Memang kelakar!

Pagi Ahad I bangun seawal jam 8. Tak habis lagi mengemas dapur. Pindah rumah memang memenatkan. Tengah sibuk membasuh tupperware, kiddo panggil. Rupanya, dia lapar. Nak maggie. Jadi, mamanya yang baik hati ni pun buat kan lah maggie. Nak masak lebih-lebih, semua barang dah masuk kotak. 5 minit lepas tu, siap.

Sambil tengah makan, mamanya di dapur lagi..
Kiddo: Mama, mama kahwin lah lagi sekali dengan daddy.
Mama: Hah? Kenapa mama nak kahwin lagi sekali pulak?
Kiddo: Nanti, bila mama dah kahwin, Syahmie dapat lah adik. Eh, salah. Mama kena kahwin lagi 2 kali.
Mama: Haa? 2 kali? Banyak sangat tu.
(Mama cuba fikir apa yang kiddo nak sampaikan sebenarnya)

Kiddo: 2 kali lah mama. Kan Syahmie nak 2 adik, one boy one girl. Sebab tu mama dengan daddy kena kahwin 2 kali.
Mama: Syahmie semalam ade 'imagination' ke?
(Imagination tu mimpi as per kiddo)

Kiddo: Tak. Syahmie nak adik cepat, tapi perut mama tu lambat sangat besar. Sebab tu mama dengan daddy kahwin lagi 2 kali. Baru boleh Syahmie dapat 2 adik. Arissa dengan Rifqi.

Mama dengan bangganya. Bila cerita dengan Mr. Fruitheart, you all tahu dia jawab apa? Hari-hari mama dengan daddy kahwin.

P/S: Memang lawak laka-laka lah anak mama ni.

School Holidays.. Smooth Traffic and Send Kids To Their Grandparents House

Happy Monday everyone! Still feel sleepy, tiring week again I can say. Helping out my parents moved into their new house. Luckily it's two weeks school holiday and I don't have to wake up 5.30am. Yay!

Kiddo? He is staying with my parents. Hehe. So I have one week time alone with Mr. Fruitheart.

It's a tradition parents sending their children to stay with their grandparents during school holidays. I was sent to my grandparents house only when I was in standard one. But at that time we stayed in the same state, only different disctrict. Now, I did the same with kiddo. Of course he is excited staying there. No mommy to scold him, no mommy to make him do this and that and above all - no restriction to games. I know he will be a good boy and can take care of himself.

Next..

I wonder why the road is not congested when school holidays? I am pretty sure not all parents 'balik kampung' which makes the road flow smoothly. And I am also sure that it is not because of the school buses that makes the traffic jammed.

One of my friend said, it is not congested during school holidays because all teachers also went for holiday. Haha. That does make sense to me. Teachers also drive to school right?

American Idol 2011 Winner: Scotty McCreery

Finally the American Idol 2011 fever has ended. I have not seen the show where they announce the winner yet. Stil stucked in the office yea. But I saw it in the twitter timeline. As expected, Scotty won. Although I am not a fan of him and wanted Lauren to win instead, CONGRATULATIONS SCOTTY!

I am dissapointed when Pia left. She is a good singer to me, I love her voice! From the first day AI started, I really hope the winner would be a girl. Unfortunately, America has spoken and chose their idol. I have to admit, all the contestants this time around were quite good. They can sing well, and young too.

Scotty is only 17 years old and already a well-known singer in America. Thanks to American Idol. Between the two of them, I personally think Lauren will be more succesful. But, we wouldn't know right? Just look at the past winners, what have happened to them? Silent mode? This is the same as Akademi Fantasia in Malaysia. Seriously, they should have ended it when the day Mawi won the title.

Do You Ever Do Your Child's Homework?

This is not about the homework being too hard, or taking too long. It's about me not having much time. Lame excuses Fara! Shame on you!!

OK, this happened today morning right after kiddo finished his shower. Suddenly he said, 'Mom, I got Maths homework.' I was like, 'eh.. aren't you in your exam week? Plus school holiday just few days away.' He told me, he just remembered it. Yeah right. Your last Maths class was on last week Thursday, and don't tell me your teacher came into your dream and remind you about your homework??

So without hesitation and don't want him to be grumpy and start to cry, I told him to do his homework. OK, it's not a lot. Only 7 pages!

It's about plus and minus. And it was already 6.30am, I left him with it and went to shower. Not long after that, he came to me and said 'Mom, I don't know how to do it.' I know he had difficulties with bigger numbers. Especially when it comes to minuses. So what I did? I count for him and told him the answer. Done. Phew! He's happy and so do I.

On one sweet day:
Kiddo: Mama, Syahmie tak faham lah ni Bahasa Arab.
Mama: Err.. mama pun tak faham maksud dia apa lah.
Kiddo: Tak pe lah, nanti Syahmie cakap kat ustazah. 'Ustazah, mama saya tak tahu Bahasa Arab, dia tahu Bahasa Inggeris je.'

Memang kurang asam punya budak!

My Birthday Gift: Clinique

Me and my new skin care product. Only after at the age of 30 I tried something that cost me RM500. I went to SK II, and whoa.. RM1.4K is sure expensive! I should have started to take care of my face ages ago huh? Like when the first time I had my pimples? Couldn't remember when exactly.

I was given the consultation first before I make up my mind which product I would use. Of course it is important, or else I wouldn't know which is suitable for me. So far, I don't have any allergies to all the skin care products I have used. And trying this expensive well-known branded items sure freak me out. First, it's pricey and second of all the effectiveness of the product on my face. Let's hope I am satisfied enough with Clinique.

On top of that, I did get a miniature - Aromatic Elixir. Not so nice. I've asked for Happy, got that instead.

Thank you Mr. Fruitheart and kiddo for the lovely birthday gift.

3. 'FasTicket' Tab Alternatively, you can also start purchasing your movie tickets by selecting your preferred cinema followed by show date and your movie choice all on one screen via the ‘FasTicket’ tab.

4. 'History' Tab At any point of time, you can retrieve your 2D Barcode Ticket and check your movie booking history at the ‘History’ tab.

5. 'About' Tab For those who wants more info on the GSC Mobile App (iPhone), the ‘About’ Tab links to the following pages:-

2011: Happy Teacher's Day 16th May

Thank you for making us what we are today.
When it comes to teaching no one can compete with you.
We will always be thankful to you for all the hard work and efforts.
You have put in, for educating us.
You are the one who proved that learning can be joyous and pleasant experience.

The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called “truth". I found guidance, friendship, discipline and love, everything, in one person. And that person is you teacher.

Teaching is the profession that teaches all the other professions.

Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?

Tonight you're mine completely,
You give your love so sweetly,
Tonight the light of love is in your eyes,
But will you love me tomorrow?

Is this a lasting treasure,
Or just a moment's pleasure,
Can I believe the magic of your sighs,
Will you still love me tomorrow?

Tonight with words unspoken,
You said that I'm the only one,
But will my heart be broken,
When the night (When the night)
Meets the morning sun.

I'd like to know that your love,
Is love I can be sure of,
So tell me now and I won't ask again,
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Will you still love me tomorrow?

My Mother's Day Gift This Year

Although it was celebrated yesterday, still in the mood for it. I am so free today other than sleeping and updating my blog. Me on sick leave today. All kinds of sickness attacked me.

This is what I get for Mother's Day:
Fever
Sore throat
Flu
Runny nose
Lost my voice
Headache

The most touching part is when kiddo said he would give his voice to me so that I can talk back. Tears on my eyes. How thoughtful of him. Really care for his mother.

I told him, I had sore throat and cough. That is why I lost my voice. He said, 'Mom, you drink a lot of ice. You always told me not to drink ice, but you drink instead until your voice is gone'. Ouch!

OK dear, mommy won't drink. Two days without a voice, I think they missed me yapping around the house.
