My Daughter's Selfie

It is common now when you see a toddler as early as the age of 1 year old holding a tablet. My almost 2 year old daughter (her birthday is on 22nd May), is very good with her parents gadgets. iPad, Samsung tab, iPhones, TV remote and electrical fan too.

The other day I was browsing my photo folder and wanted to do some clean up. To my surprised..

No it's not 754 pictures of her. Maybe below 100? She is the new Princess Selfie! She would hold the phone and said.. "1,2,3 smile!".

P/S: Next thing I know, they can operate the washing machine.

Fun Quiz - What Era Were You Meant to Parent In?

So I was bored. I took this fun quiz in Popsugarmom website.
http://moms.popsugar.com/Parenting-Era-Personality-Quiz-34595556

The 2010s
How does she do it? That's what everyone wonders when they meet you. You are superinvolved in your child's life — attending every soccer game, making cupcakes for every bake sale, and tucking them in every night. But you also manage to make time for yourself, whether it's working at the office or in the gym. Sometimes you struggle to do it all, but as long as you are OK with it, then your kids will be too.

P/S: Seriously? I had my time when I'm in the shower. How does she do it? I'm supermom!

Let It Go

It was from Tsh Oxenreider of Simple Mom.

Just because I am atelophobia. My house is good enough, really. The only problem is my eyes couldn't handle the ugly view of the throw-pillows everywhere, TV remote on the sofa and my-forever-fallen-hair on the floor.

I'll be so itchy to put everything back to their places. Even if I know, my children gonna mess it up again. Oh and not fogetting Mr. Fruitheart.

P/S: I will be forever hard to please. Sheesh.

Atelophobia

Do you have any phobia? I do. And it is called ATELOPHOBIA. What is atelophobia?

From wiki - Atelophobia is the fear of not being good enough or imperfection. Atelophobia is classified as an anxiety disorder that can affect relationships and makes the person afflicted by atelophobia feel like everything they do is wrong.

I took a test to see how severe my phobia and here is the result:

"Looking at your results we would categorize any feelings of atelophobia you have as Moderate. Thinking about, or worse the reality of imperfection, has you feeling bad, fast.

You probably do your best to avoid situations where this may come up, and really hate it when it does.

Moderate atelophobia can be insidious because while often it is not so severe as to be a clear and present problem needing immediate action, it can affect your behavior and effectiveness across a wide range of activities. We often hear from clients in this category who have subtly – or not so subtly – changed their actions and because of this the accumulated result over time has been dramatic. The underlying anxiety can affect your ability to contribute at home and in your community as well.

Clients with moderate atelophobia are typically able to overcome the problem rapidly provided that they are committed to making the change."

P/S: Thank God it's moderate. I don't intend to get help with this, just taking the test to see how I am and as long as it is not serious, I will be OK.

2014: Happy Earth Day

Happy Earth Day! I love you my planet. I didn't know it is the day until I opened my Internet browser and saw the Google doodle.

"Earth Day 2014 has been marked with a collection of five animated doodles on the Google homepage, showing the Rufous hummingbird, the veiled chameleon, the moon jellyfish, the dung beetle, a puffer fish and a pair of Japanese macaques."

Image from Google doodle

Do you know this year's Earth Day is the 44th? No I didn't. Shows that I am not alert. Shame on me. I believe everyday should be Earth Day. We should remind ourselves our earth needs to be cared for our future generation and for us too. There are a lot of things we can do everyday for our earth. I bet you know that. Just, be the responsible earthlings.

Recycle.
Keep the air clean.
Keep your house and neighbourhood clean.
Save paper. Use paper bags.
Save water.
Save energy.

I would like to wish you a happy earth day 2104. Let us together take good care of our Mother Earth.

P/S: Be nice to Mother Earth today.

Missing Single Life

What do you missed about your single life? Are your single life better than after you're in a relationship?

I was scrolling my FB news feed the other day when I saw my BFF posted this.. I miss my single life. No matter if I'm happy or sad, I'm on my own.. no heartache. There were lots of comment asking her what went wrong. Not forgetting advices from friends as well.

Single life. What I remember about it was the freedom I had to go anywhere without worrying someone except my parents. The whenever me time or sleep late at night and wake up late. The time spent with friends laughing and doing crazy stuff.

Ahh.. those were memories. Life is great and it gets better each day. Having a responsible, loving, handsome husband and 3 children of my own who loves their mother so much. What more can I ask? Except for good health and high patience everyday.

Thank you God for everything in my life.

P/S: There are times I wish I can turn back and do better.

Happy 5 Months Old Baby

Today my baby girl Rania is 5 months old.

She just recovered from fever and measles. Doc said it was roseola measles. No wonder she was all cranky, irritable and looks tired for few days. See the happy face? Ahh.. so lovely. She is 6.5KG now. Very healthy and chubby. My little Michelin baby.

At this age, she would get excited whenever we are around. She would want us to pick her up and she showed me that she is another daddy's daughter. She will laugh whenever her brother and sister played with her, tickle her on the tummy. She loves to make those bubbles sound with her mouth and would put all her fingers inside too.

One thing I know, she loves her blanket just like her big brother. Smelly blankie!

P/S: Mama hope you have the good health and be a good girl.

Dilemma: Taska / Nursery for The Girls

We're back to square one. Scratching our head, thinking hard and have to make an important decision. My sister can no longer take care of my girls, she has accepted a job offer in KLIA2.

Definitely not going to hire another helper. I do not want face another headache, frustration and have stranger into our house. It would also cost us thousands of Ringgit again which we don't have. Now we're considering sending the girls to a childcare centre. Choosing a childcare centre is NOT easy. Reliable and registered are normally full.

I had done my research on the Internet, browsing the JKM website looking for registered taska / nursery. I called few places and they are no longer accepting new entry.

I had called this centre named Taska Umi Setia Kasih in Danau Kota. I prefer this taska since it is close to kiddo's transit house and school. It is also close to my in law's house. And it is just opposite the police station. Aha. There is a place for Arissa, but I have to wait for Rania. My first impression about this taska; I have this calm feelings when I entered the place. It is clean and the children's face were smiling.

Today itself, we went to Taska Bintang Gemilang in Taman Setapak. It is near the main road and close to SRA. Met the teacher and looked around. She informed us that she just took over the place for about 2 years. The staff hired were graduated burse in Nursing and they're wearing uniform too. Looks professional. There's a place for both girls. First impression? It is clean and spacious.

Both centre has activities for toddler 2 years above. I asked the teacher in Bintang Gemilang what is the staff to child ratio, 1:5 for babies. If I am not mistaken, the ratio in Taska Umi Setia Kasih is 1:4.

Breakdown:

Taska Umi Setia Kasih 03-4021 8148:
Baby to 4 years old: RM350
Registration: RM50
Insurance: Covered for babies and toddler RM20
Activities: 2 years old above RM100
Time: 6.45am - 6.30pm
Extra charge: RM5 per hour after 6.30pm

For babies, there are 2 rooms. Room 1 is for babies aged 3-8 months and accomodate 8 babies. Room 2 is for babies 8 months above and have 11 babies.

Taska Bintang Gemilang 03-40318500:
Baby: RM450
Toddler: RM430
Registration: RM( I forgot)
Insurance: Covered for babies and toddler RM( I forgot)
Activities: 2 years old above, Books, activity sheets and uniform provided.
Time: 7.30am - 6.30pm
Extra charge: RM6 per hour after 6.30pm

It's a hard decision we have to take.

P/S: By looking at it, I guess I know where I would send my girls.

'Cause all of me
Loves all of you
Love your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections
Give your all to me
I'll give my all to you
You're my end and my beginning
Even when I lose I'm winning
'Cause I give you all of me
And you give me all of you, oh..

Unfortunate

I am thankful.. syukur alhamdulillah, all of us including you who are reading this still breathing and alive. Did you count your blessings everyday? You should, always.

Yesterday morning, Mr. Fruitheart slipped and fell on the bathroom floor. It was around 6.15am. I was in the kitchen preparing breakfast when my sister told me my husband fell. I heard a loud 'thump', and I thought it was his phone or something else fallen.

I panicked and rushed to my room. I opened the bathroom door and saw him already laying on the floor. Lucky the door was not locked. I covered his body with towels, and tried to lift him. I couldn't. He was in real pain and said he could not get up. He told me his ribs might be broken. Both my son and daughter were there crying beside their daddy. Doubled my panic and God I was in shocked, I couldn't think properly. I put towels below his head and grabbed my phone, called my mother in law. I told her what has happened and asked if my BIL could come.

After few minutes, I called the KPJ Damansara emergency phone number. I do not know why I couldn't think of this number: 999. I was panicked. The staff nurse had called the ambulance on my behalf. Both my BIL came and waited for the ambulance who came after half and hour waiting.

I registered and waited for the doc to examine Mr. Fruitheart. Ouh, I hate waiting. He was given a jab to lessen the pain. We have to wait until 8.30am for x-ray. MY BIL were also at the ER waiting. At 10am doc came and told us no broken bones only fractured rib. Nothing serious. I was worried it could be his back bone, shoulder, chest or could be his hips that broken. Thank God, alhamdulillah nothing serious. He was given sick leave and was asked to rest at home.

So here I am, the nurse for the rest of the week.

Knowing my panic attacked, I called my father and I even called my insurance agent, Uncle Khoo. Well, I thought he was going to be admitted. So I needed someone from the insurance. Thinking in advance. My family came on the day and my in laws came to visit today. After this, we need to be extra careful in the bathroom and I need to ensure the floor is clean and clear from soap and water.

P/S: Patience. I was given the very high patience with waiting and in handling my children. What a week.

Dinner Party on Weekend

My in laws came for a visit on last weekend. I cooked curry mee and had nachos for appetiser. Sangat tak kena kan?? I do not know what to serve them.

But.. I was so happy that all my food finished! Yes it was that good. My mother in law said I can do catering after this. Err.. will consider.

I made curry mee ala nyonya. Unfortunately, I don't have the chance taking any pictures of my curry mee. Oh well, there's always some other time. I have my nachos picture.

This too.. finished! Food were good and I was asked to do it again and invite them. Oh I found a nachos recipe that using only 2 ingredients: tortilla chips and cheese.

My nachos recipe was from this website: http://www.food.com/recipe/chilis-chicken-fajita-nachos-copycat-92925

P/S: I am getting better.

Food by Agoodmaid

I ordered my food again. I know you know and we know it is so easy nowadays when you just can order stuff online, even food!

This time around I ordered, beef / chicken lasagna 1 each and 4 baked mac & cheese. I love the taste of their mac & cheese. So all 6 packs would be me and Mr. Fruitheart's lunch at the office. I tell you, one pack of each can be eaten by 2 person. Like always, I froze them. When it is time to eat, I thawed it.

I love you Agoodmaid! You make my life easy. And thank you for being a good maid to us.

P/S: This is an idea if I want to start doing the same. Eh?

Water Rationing

My area Tmn. Tun Dr. Ismail has been listed in the stage 4 water rationing. 2 days with water and 2 days without water. We had bought 2 large water barrels. If only we had big tank to store the water.

This water rationing plan is schedule until end of April. I hope they're not going to extend it. Even though there is rain, it does not enough to fill the dam. So far, we still have the water supply. No matter what, we have prepared. Especially for the kids.
